At Koa Design we combine digital design-and-manufacture techniques with traditional craftmanship to create truly bespoke products, from bed-side tables to built-in wardrobes, camping pods, retail furniture and fitted kitchens. Operating out of our workshop on the Wirral, Northwest England, our designs are manufactured on a precision-cutting machine before being assembled and finished by hand.

In order to create our truly bespoke kitchens we start by producing bespoke plywood units that divide space evenly. Like all of our furniture, we will design fine, bespoke, modern furniture with you, for you. The opportunities to create something special and unique are vast.

camping pod.
Furniture is furniture whether it's in a house or the back of van. Koa do campers. This fully fitted camping pod was designed to maintain as much of the vans original boot space as possible while providing ample storage that can be accessed in multiple ways. There's also a handy pull out table top. The bed tucks conveniently away in it's own cubby hole, in that awkward and often wasted space over the wheel arch.
design process.
The process of developing ideas is simple. Through constant communication via email, WhatsApp or any other preferred method and with the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD), ideas can be shared, refined and visualised quickly until your vision is realised. Ideas then move quickly from CAD to the workshop were Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) coupled with traditional skills are used to craft your design.

Whether its a detailed specification or a simple sketch we can start designing. A brief direct message and a sketch was all that was needed to begin work on an 'L' shaped desk.

We will create a range of initial ideas to begin the process of refinement of every detail until a final design is developed.
